Welcome

On behalf of the Executive, our fantastic volunteers and our staff, I would like to welcome everyone to Branch 176.  We are YOUR Legion, open to everyone.  You do not have to be a member to visit our lounge and enjoy our hospitality including our dart boards and entertainment.  We encourage everyone to consider joining and volunteering for various activities.  Enjoy yourself and we hope to see you often.   - President Ted Frayne.

Congratulations to Reg George who caught the Ace in Week 5 of our Catch the Ace on June 18th.  He takes home a total of $12,905.50.

 Veterans Assistance - Veterans who require assistance in dealing with Veterans Affairs are encouraged to reach out to us FIRST so the Legion can act on your behalf.  Please contact us to arrange a meeting with our Veterans Service Officer.


Our General Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm except in July and August. All members are encouraged to attend.

Memorial Banner Program

    Royal Canadian Legion Branch 176 is establishing a new to program to acknowledge and pay tribute to veterans of Lambton Shores and surrounding communities. Memorial banners will be hung on the lamp posts in the Municipality from Legion Week in September until just after the November 11th Remembrance Ceremony on a yearly basis.

     

    The dimensions of the banners will be 21” X 39” and price is $175.00. The Banner will have a picture of deceased veteran, name, unit, date of birth & date of death and hopefully sponsors name. 

     

    Anyone wishing to honour a deceased veteran would need to send a good quality digital photo of the veteran in uniform and the completed order form to forestlegionbanners@execulink.com.

    Orders will be accepted from April 1st to June 20 each year. This will facilitate ordering and receiving banners by September 1st each year.  A minimum order will be placed once a year.
